THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

Every gown begins somewhere.

As a child, I was captivated by the sound of my mother's sewing machine. She taught me everything she knew. I grew up believing that sewing was a kind of magic - that fabric in the right hands could hold something real.

I carried that belief into my career. I trained and worked across international design studios and ateliers, eventually managing a bridal workroom where I led fittings, built teams and brought countless wedding gowns to life. I spent years inside the industry I loved, doing the work I was made for.

And yet something was missing. I just didn't know what it was yet.

So I stepped away.

Then I met him. And in understanding that love - the particular, unrepeatable love between two people - I finally understood what had been missing. I hadn't yet made anything that was truly mine.

SISO Studio was born from that realisation.

Every gown I create is designed, patterned, cut, sewn and fitted entirely by my hands. There is no team, no production line, no outsourcing. Just me, your vision, and the months of quiet, careful work that happen in between.

The name SISO carries my mother's heritage in Cambodia, Sisophon - where she first sat at a sewing machine and learned that cloth could become something beautiful. That inheritance lives in every stitch I make.

I believe your gown should tell the truth about your love. Not a version of someone else's dress, not a silhouette chosen from a sample rack. Something that began with a conversation between us and ended as something made only for you.

That is what I make. That is all I make.

Love,
